I was working at one of Valve's ^noteValve is the company that makes the video games Half Life, Portal, TF2, etc. offices, which was exciting, but I noticed that it was a reatively small building, and it felt more like a mall or parking garage than an actual office building.

None of the other workers there were actually doing work. It turned out the whole thing was actually a front for a tax fraud scheme, and everyone else was in on it. This was revealed to me when a cheap 1$ portal gun decoration crashed through the equally cheap ceiling/floor.
